Wow, thanks for going to the trouble of finding those links, and explaining. That last option should be what I need, just removing the Exif Orientation. Tbh, after reading about the last couple hours, I think that may be a mistake!
It seems the real issue isn't the exif info, but the lack of support for it by software displaying these images. From what I read, there are two ways, one uses the exif orientation info, the other, well, wasn't really described?
All I want, is what everyone wants, pictures that display the correct way round no matter where they are viewed!
I have the same issue with videos too, but looks like VLC can do the job with those.
I think some trials are in order.
